Gwinnett Daily Post Community Calendar – January 2011

Gwinnett has several famous authors coming to visit this month, see Steve Berry on January 15 and Mary Jane Clark, Lynn Cullen and Karen White on January 20th.  Also with baseball season just around the corner, you may want to attend a Youth Injury Prevention Clinic, being hosted this Saturday, January 15th.  The Dancing White Stallions on Sunday January 16th sounds especially entertaining.  Whatever your interest, be sure to get out and try something new after these long snow days stranded at home.

Monday, January 17

The Gwinnett Historical Society will host a lecture titled “Cherokee Indian Trail Markers,” with speaker Sallie Toole at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Gwinnett Historical Courthouse in Lawrenceville.
Thursday, January 20
The “Lunch with Listen” event featuring authors Mary Jane Clark, Lynn Cullen and Karen White will be held at noon Jan. 20 at Garden Plaza in Lawrenceville, 230 Collins Industrial Way. The event is free but reservations are required. Call 770-978-5154 to make reservations.
The Rotary Club of Duluth will hold their second annual fundraiser featuring Texas Hold’Em, Bingo and a silent auction from 6 to 10 p.m. Jan. 20 at the Gwinnett Place Marriott, 1775 Pleasant Hill Road, Duluth.
