Developing customer trust is not easy these days. With so much fraud and deception, especially online, consumers are often wary.  However, building a trust, and eventual loyalty with your customers can be crucial to the success of your company.

Patricio Robles, with Econsultancy recently described how to promote customer loyalty in Five Ways To Build Trust With Customers.  His suggestions include:

  1. Make it easy for customers to contact you – Be sure to make available contact information; phone numbers, email, address for all relevant contacts at your business so that customers can easily contact your business with any questions or concerns they may have.
  2. Adopt fair policies – Setting clear, easy to understand policies regarding returns, privacy, etc., show your customers that you understand their needs and that you will treat them fairly.
  3. Be human – A business is only as good as the people behind it.  Ensure that your team is visible to your customers.  This can be displayed on your website, advertisements or fliers, or in-house highlighting various employees and their profiles.
